Artist Focus - Paul Delaroche
Paul Delaroche was a French painter who was born on Juny 17, 1797, in Paris, France. Hippolyte Delaroch was his given name. Paul was born into a wealthy family and therefore was able to train with some of the top artists of the day.
Delaroche was known for his life-size historical paintings, which were not always completely accurate.
He died November 4, 1856.
